The following business listed on this page ignored our explicit "No Soliciting and Post No Bills" policy for our Talaverde Community. Please do not patronize them as they either do not have enough skills to read and follow simple directions, or they do not care about following rules and guidelines clearly established for our community. Also, please look up these and other vendors to see if they even have the proper "City of Las Vegas Business License" by clicking on THIS link and entering the business name in the search field. You will be surprised at the results you will find! ALL businesses operating within the City of Las Vegas (i.e. including Talaverde) MUST have a City of Las Vegas business license. Also, any solicitor MUST have a "Solicitor's Permit" which is again, distributed by the City of Las Vegas. They must also show this permit when requested! They left flyers on our garage door handles on 5/21/04:
They keep leaving their advertising magnets on our gate key pad. They keep repeating this violation and have been contacted by the Talaverde HOA to stop immediately!
They were going door to door soliciting on 5/25/04. When asked for their solicitor's permit they were very defiant and said they had the right to make sales calls here (in other words, they did not have one. When told that it is illegal to solicit without a permit, let alone in a community that posts a No Soliciting sign, they got even more defiant. When their main office was called, their manager was totally unconcerned and said "We contract those people out, they don't work for us".
